So DH and I decided we would use my last fathers name as a middle but now we need a first....Dad's name was Gary and we both love the name Braiden.....
Braiden Gary? What do you think and please offer other suggestions
Although, I'm not sure about your spelling...All the Braidens I know are spelled Brayden. Don't know if yours is technically the correct spelling or not? I'm not an expert. I do prefer it spelled Brayden though.
I think it is wonderful that you will honor your late father with your son's middle name.
I am sure I will not be the only one to say this, but I do not like Braiden at all. The whole -aden trend is overdone (you will find this name rhymes with all the Aidens, Jaydens, and Cadens who will be your son's classmates), and Braiden/Brayden/Braden is my least favorite because the first syllable is the sound a donkey makes. If you want to stick with the Br- theme, you could use Brandon, Brendan, or Bradley (just off the top of my head).

OP, if you are asking about the general flow of the name, it is perfectly fine and I think using Gary is a lovely tribute to your dad.
Braiden (Brayden) is one of those names that people pick because they think they are being different or creative. In reality, this name crazy popular right now, so just be aware of that (it reads as "trendy popular" rather than "classic popular"). In 5 years it will sound dated.
What about:
Brian (Bryan) Gary
Brendan Gary
Brennan Gary
Brandon Gary
Aidan Gary (Aidan is also crazy popular, but it's a nice saint's name if you are into that sort of thing)
The below names were suggested by Nymbler
Bryson Gary
Devon Gary
Logan Gary
Kieran Gary
Hayden Gary

To follow on Helena - I don't like Braiden et all in general because it's SOOOOO overdone. But on top of that, I don't like the "ay" sound in ANY name paired w/ Gary. I dont' like the flow.
Of Helena's suggstions, I like Brendan and Brandon, or even Devon or Logan.

I love the symbolism of the middle name for you. We're actually using my best friend's middle name (she was killed in '08). I have to agree with pp's on Braiden, though. Not a fan at all. I don't mind Brayden so much though.
I'm with PPs in that the name Brayden has been so overdone. I personally would stay away from that name and any name that rhymes with it.
If you're stuck on Brayden, don't spell it Braiden.

Re: Wanting to use my late fathers name
I think that sounds fine.

Oooh I like PP's suggestion of Brian Gary. I also like Brice Gary and Brendan Gary for Br- names.
Other names I like are:
Owen Gary
Benjamin Gary
Colin Gary
Joshua Gary
Evan Gary
Andrew Gary
ETA: If going the -aiden route, my fave is simply Aiden Gary.
I don't care for Braiden. The spelling looks like "braiding", as in braiding hair.
The -ayden names are really popular and super trendy right now. But if you and your DH both love Brayden then go for it.
If you are interested in other options, might I suggest Ian, Callum, Desmond, Maxwell, Roman, Chase, Asher, or Logan.
