I'm embarrassed to ask this because I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

You only need to have this test done once, Correct?   You either are a carrier or your not.  If you have it, it's something you are born with, right?

I only ask because my IVF clinic, who I've had a prior ivf with, is asking me to get this done as part of my yearly infectious diesese testing.  I hate having my isurance premiums go up for unneccesary tests because some nurse is to lazy to go through my records properly.  (Of course, if I'm wrong about this test and it does need to be repeated, I'm going to really be embarrassed about my last comment.)

Yes, you only need to have it done once.  Also, you're the only one that needs to be tested, unless you come up positive - then they'll test your husband as well ... in most cases.  I tested negative, but they tested my husband as well to see if his azoo may be related to a CF marker.

Yes. I don't know why they'd have you repeat it.

Are you still at C.ooper?  They always put the CF test on my updated test lists and I just ignore it. If you had it once, you don't need to repeat. I also opted to not get it at all because my insurance won't pay for it.

@McIrish, Yep that's where I'm at.  It's so frustrating that they do that.  On top of it, they said my infectious diesese testing was out of date.  I have a copy of the testing from last November that they ordered!   I'd love to see my actual folder. Is it just so full they can't find anything or does things never actually make it to the folder?

btw, do you have a copy of their minimal stim ivf pdf document you could send me?   I went to their website to view it yesterday and all of the protocol pages come up as 'not found'.  I sent them and email asking them to fix it, plus I called the front desk to inform them about it and all they did was put me through to the nurse's line.  Not sure how a down website is a nurse's problem.

I got a sheet in the mail on the Friday before my Sunday ER saying my infectious diseases needed to be updated... Yeah, I just ignored it and no one said a word.  Seriously, I wonder how they function some days..
