Betas... again.

So this is what I'm looking like--

July 16th-- 61.8

July 20th-- 617

July 24th-- 4,906.7

 

Is this good??  I'm a first timer and I have no idea what this means... I mean, I'm so clueless that when the doctor said she was "ordering betas" I didn't even know what she was talking about.

 

The nurse today said that I can schedule an ultrasound whenever I want now.  I THINK that I am about 4.5 weeks along, but I am not positive about that.  When do you think the best time would be to schedule my ultrasound?  I'm out of town until August 13th-- would that week be good for seeing or hearing anything from the little Bug?

Your numbers look good.

I would wait until closer to 8 weeks to schedule an ultrasound if you really want to be able to see anything.

We went in for an ultrasound around 5 weeks (the doctor was worried with my levels not doubling and having tried for over a year it may have been ectopic). Didn't see much, just the yoke. The nurse said it's pretty common and we may see a heartbeat in a week or two. Implantation was great though. We have another scheduled for Friday of this week. I will be 7 weeks along by then and will see a bit more. We will probably even get an estimated delivery date this time. I am very excited. Just don't expect to see a whole lot this early.

Your numbers look fine. I wouldn't schedule an u/s unless the doctor insists upon it or is requesting that you have one. If they aren't concerned, wait until at least 8 weeks so you can actually see something on the screen.
