Hello all, quick question for anyone! I am 4.5 weeks pregnant, I signed up to run the color run, which is a 5k on October 6th before I knew I was pregnant. At 3+ months should I be running a 5k, or could it be potentially dangerous?

Are you already a runner? If so, I would say that it's probably fine. Just stop and walk if at any point you feel pain or discomfort. You can always double check with your doctor, too.

Definitely check with your doctor, but the color run isn't a 'standard' 5k in that it's not about how fast you can finish it... it's about having fun and personal accomplishment (and maybe a cool t-shirt). It's not billed as a 'race' at all.
If I were you, I would still do it, but go with the mindset that you may end up walking much (if not all) of it and that's totally ok. In the meantime, get yourself fit -- even if it means going for brisk walks regularly, rather than running. It will make the whole experience easier.
If you had any running background at all, I'd say that training for running and actually running it wouldn't be a problem.

I agree with all of this.
