Our little boy is named Braden Tyler. His little brother will be named Callen Jacob... At least as of right now. My husband and I haven't decided for sure on the middle name. Is Callen too unusual? When we decided on Braden's name, I had never heard it before and now I hear it all the time. I wanted a name that started with a C and ended with N. I'm really interested in your opinion because we are not telling Baby Brother's name until he arrives!

For some reason I love this name. I like Kellen too. I don't think it's too out there. It's not very common but is easy to pronounce and recognize.

Our DS is named Callen Francis, mn after my grandpa. We love his name and get a lot of compliments. Its easy to pronounce for most people altho we did get Collin sometimes in the beginning, like at the Dr office, but it was easy to correct. That was not something we had thought of tho when we named him. We don't use a nn but some people have tried to call him Cal, which we aren't crazy about so we remind them that its not his name, but another thing for you to think about. I have only met one other kid with the same pronunciation but spelled with a K. Almost everyone says he has such a cute name when we introduce him

so of course I say go for it!

The name is ok, just nms. Other names that come to mind that start with a C and end with N are Collin and Colton

I don't like it. Was something wrong with Colin? Or Callum? It looks like a typo of one of those two "real" names.

It's not common, but not weird. And you don't have to guess at the pronunciation which is nice.

I love Callen. It was on our name list. We ended up going a totally different direction and unfortunately Callen probably won't ever fit into the other names we have. I don't think it's too unusual at all.
