I had an ultrasound at 19 1/2 weeks, and the tech said it was a girl...but she said "I don't see any boy parts...looks like a girl" and I asked her again later if she was sure and she said "yep."
well it wasn't til AFTER that appointment (i'm a first-time mom) that I found out they're not supposed to just look for whether or not there are boy parts...they should be able to see 'girl parts' too. i'm ecstatic we're having a girl and have bought a lot of clothes and painted the nursery...now i'm paranoid that she was wrong. Is there another ultrasound for a 'low-risk' pregnancy usually? if not i'm going to wonder until the baby is born if she was wrong! i initially wanted a boy but now am so excited for a girl and don't want her to be wrong.
oh and we got a set of pictures after the u/s and there are no pics of 'girl parts' in there either...ugh

This is why I am only buying gender neutral items/paints until they are born. We saw a penis on baby B however the pic was kinda fuzzy on baby A. I should show you the pic she gave us. I don't know what she was smoking but you don't even see thighs on the picture.. Keep your receipts or you can take the items back and repurchase them later.
