Anyone have this for their LO at school? Epipen box...

Just wondering if this is good to buy for DS for preschool.  I am wondering if since it is clear it won't be protected from light when out on the playground (teacher holds it) and is it annoying to carry/hold since there is no strap.  I thought maybe I could put it in a small pouch in the box.  I love that it has instructions and all his info on it.  Thoughts?

  • What an interesting idea.  I like it, but I do see your point.  I know when I taught pre-k, the first aid kit and whatever meds needed to go with the class (to play or whatever) were kept in a backpack.  If they do something like that, it would eliminate the light and carrying issues.  Thanks for sharing.  I do like how organized and clear it is.

  • It is nicely organized! But when my DS was in preschool, each classroom hung a ziplock bag by the door with the child's picture in it and the medication along with instructions on how to administer. I liked that because it was so easily available to the adults.

In elementary school, the teachers in our district are not allowed to administer any medications. So it's kept all the way in the school nurses office. Now THAT makes me nervous!!!
