I'm not complaining- it makes nursing easy.
I do think it's interesting that of all the babies on my side (stemming from my mom's mom) all the boys got their teeth at 6 months, and the girls were late (niece at 10 months, my cousin's daughter at 11 months, and my daughter still has none at 9.5 months).

Does she open it when she's happy/laughing? I find the best way to see in there is to play airplane. He loves being up in the air over my head and he starts squealing. I can see right down his throat practically.
No teeth here and pedi said they are still 2-3 months away. Not sure how he knows though. Especially since at her 4 month appt he said they were coming any day now.
Also, my pedi said that we have to keep giving her purees since she has no teeth but I don't think all of you are. What do you all think about that?
I can, but never when I'm thinking about it. It's not always on my mind, so it seems like she knows and will always cover her gums with her lips or tongue when I'm trying to get a peak. It's pretty funny. I mean, it's not like it matters- but I'd like to mentally prepare my nips for the little razors.
I had been feeding Amelia soft foods like bananas, avocados, watermelon, cooked carrots, etc. in chunks that she could feed herself (also cheerios, bread, puffs,etc.). At her 9 month check up, the Ped also told me to put some meat in the crockpot, get it real soft and to serve it to her.
No teeth but think we are nearing the end of that era. Poor boobs.
Lack of teeth hasn't limited her food. We give her anything we can cut we a fork, as recommended by our pediatrician.
