I agreed to dog-sit for my mom while she and her partner are OOT until Thursday. She has three maltese/yorkie mixes.
......they were up at 5:30 barking, then up again, for real this time, at 6, wanting to be fed and let out. (which I did) And they never STFU. I'd be tired even without a growing fetus, but now I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
Re: well that wasn't fun....
hahah! Sure, if I want my life to end.
I will never understand what possessed them to get three dogs. Never.
Blehhhhh! I only have a couple of days. I'll live. Right? RIGHT!?
My mom and her partner do so much for me. When they ask, I couldn't really say no. Not that I wanted to. But I had no idea the little devils wake up at 6.
Oh, my mom has a cat too. She is truly evil. She is banished to the basement and they let her out when they're home, but she is.... not nice, to say the least. I'm terrified of her, so FI has been feeding her and making sure she has water.
I don't understand how these dogs are so LOUD! They are in the BASEMENT, and I can hear them as if they're right beside me when I'm two floors up. I need ear plugs. YES! That's what I'll do--- ear plugs until it's at least 8:00 a.m.
We live with my in-laws (until August 1st) and have been here since last Feb. THey have a maltese mix that has so many medical problems, including having had her eyeballs removed due to blindness and blood pressure problems. Anyway, yes, I feel bad for her, but when she starts howling at 7am and wakes up my son, I get MAD. Thank God today she is sleeping nicely, and he is still asleep. (ANd do you know that my MIL actually wanted us to STAY here when we have the baby... as in not move out! Yes, because I would handle her dog waking up a sleeping newborn oh so well!!!)
PS- I am so a cat person.
Geez! Poor dog!
....but not poor enough to escape my wrath if she woke my son up. I think that's what I hate the most. The barking would still be annoying, but DS was awake at 6, went back to sleep when the dogs went outside and then was back up at 7. He normally doesn't get up until about 9. I'm sure daycare really loves him today....
I dog sit a few times a year for my in-laws who have a lab mix and a 220lb Anatolian. They are too lazy to make much noise. When the Anatolian barks it's like the earth shakes but these days that seems to interfer with his napping so he doesn't do it much.
My mom has a shih tzu and he barks all the time. I can't imaging babysitting three of him. It would drive me insane.
