Lurker here :) Anyone with a set of twins +1 under 2?

Hi ladies. I love reading your board. I have 2 under 2 too, but I don't know if it counts :D. I have almost 4 mo old twins and I can't wait to have more. Hoping that I will be able to join you guys soon (well not tooooo soon, but def. don't want the kids very spaced out). I am wondering if there is anyone that has 3 under 2 (with the twins being older)? Am I crazy to want to have another LO so close together with my hands full already? Any words of wisdom (the good and the bad) are appreciated.

    Welcome! I think your boys are adorable and that you are the bravest woman ever for being in the midst of the infant stage with twins and already thinking about more. Smile  I'm sure like having twins, it will be hard in the beginning, but with time will get easier. I would think it would be easier to have twins then a singleton vs the other way around because you would have the harder part over with already. If you waited until closer to age 2 to space the pregnancy, your twins would likely be able to entertain each other so you could rest which would be a positive thing. I can't speak from experience, but if you think it's the right choice for your family then go for it! GL!

    Sounds like a fun family! I obviously have no experience with that situation, but I honestly wait to get PG until your twins get mobile and then see how you feel. Now that LO is running and all over the house, I can't imagine having two more to take care of. GL!

    I don't know....!!! Getting PG right as DD was getting really mobile has been utterly exhausting! I can't imagine having two to chase after. I'm sure I'd be tired no matter what but right now it seems like ending a pregnancy or just starting one at my DD's current age (14 mo) would have been easier. But again, I have no idea how already having two would change my opinion. GL deciding!

    Ditto this! I was so glad to end pregnancy just as DS was getting mobile. For me, pregnancy was harder than 2u2 was. I think the toughest stage for me is age 1-2 where they have the mobility but are unable to listen to directions yet or effectively communicate so there's a whole lot of frustration. I think 2+ is easier because they start to listen and communicate more effectively.

    I don't have twins, but rather a set of Irish Twins (my two boys are just under a year apart) and I am due with #3 a few weeks after my youngest's 1st birthday.

    It is very busy in our house, but it is totally fun.  My two boys are at the ages now where they are starting to sort of 'play' together and entertain one another.  I know that will make it a little easier when #3 gets here.  Since you have twins already, I would imagine that they would also play well together.

     Good luck with whatever decision you make!

    not crazy.. VERY BRAVE!..

    i have a 21 month old and a 7 month old and expecting a 3rd in Feb13 .. my 21 month old is a storm.. thank god my 7 month is super calm baby for now which helps me keep my sanity a bit.. i also have 2 SS (15 and 12) i dont know how crazy it will be with three lil ones... but HERE WE GO! as for now all boys.. so u can imagine it rains TESTOTERONE here lol... im hoping for a girl but we will see!!
