DH and names

DH needs a swift kick in the butt. I have had names picked out since before I was pregnant. This whole time he wouldn't give me any input. Now that we know, he looks over the list, scrunches his nose and said to try again. Nope not gonna!  Nope I'm going to do what my friend did; just start using one of the names to talk to and refer to her and then he will have no choice. muahahaha

lol i made a list of boys names and girls names i liked hilights my top 3 and then one of middle names for both and names that could go either way handed it to him and said tell me what you picked when we find out the sex! we find out wednesday hopefully (i have said that past 3 ultrasounds but babys super shy!) he hates all girl names and we already have a girl so we are praying for a lil man this time and he doesn't seem to mind when I call the tatertot Dominic so maybe its a winner! Though I kind of win reguardless because hes got a list of all names I like alot!!!!

Names are so subjective and so hard. We both have agreed on just one name, and that's only if it's a girl. We don't even know where to begin if it's a boy. Guess we'll know in 2 weeks whether we have a name or not.

This was SO us until we watched LOST! Seriously, I had never thought of the name Desmond until I heard them use it on that show. Interestingly enough, it's a Welsh name, and my DH is of Welsh decent. Good luck!!

OP, good luck with that!! maybe ask DH to make a list of his own, and give him a fair try to come up with something to add? Then you can point out why your list is better.

Oh, you should've read my post yesterday!! I'm so over having the name discussion with DH!! Hope you can get it resolved...or you can do what I'm going to do..play "I win"!

Maybe I should save this for UO Thursday, but I don't understand the rush to pick a name.  There's nothing wrong with having the baby then picking a name.

My BF's family is Italian (he and his brother are Michael and Mario) and he really likes the idea of an Italian name.  His suggestions: Isabella and Luigi.  I loved Isabella 5 years ago before it got super popular, but don't now.  Plus, I don't like either nickname (Izzy bc of Grey's Anatomy and Bella bc it's my BFF's dog's name).  And, Luigi, just no.

We're tabling the discussion until we know what it is next week.  But, then, yes, he needs to be coming up with more suggestions.
