My hubby and I went in for an elective ultrasound when I was about 18weeks 4 days along and we found out what we're having! I'm thrilled! BUT... we are having a gender revealing party on August 14th so I can't tell anyone yet! It has been so much harder than I thought it would be. I can't wait to tell the world! lol Anyone else in the same situation?

My secret keeping skills (in general) aren't even worth a hill of beans.  Would be no good as a covert spy.  If I get DH a birthday or Christmas present, I tend to show it to him pretty darn quickly, so he knows if something is supposed to be kept quiet, it's not a good idea to bring it up with me.   Good luck not spilling the beans!

Yes it is so hard! We did an elective a week ago but are waiting till after our a/s this friday to announce it. No one knows yet that we know already and it has been incredibly hard. Had to tell my fellow bumpies though since they keep good secrets and it feels so much better to tell someone! hint hint

We had an elective last week and are announcing to family on Saturday. I'm about to burst! I did break down and tell my best friend, but no one else since I don't want to get into the habit of saying he/she yet. It's too dangerous and I might slip to my mom.

Thank goodness there's only a few days to go. I can't imagine holding it in until mid August!

Oh my gosh thats so cool! Congrats. I just found out from my nurse that we won't be knowing what this lil one is til our 25th wk and Im kinda eager to know. So is my hubby but we don't know if to wait.I also would like to throw a gender reveal party!

I think that's a long time to hold in a secret for anyone... but then again, we knew I was KU for about 5 weeks before telling our family members.  I'm still not sure how we did that!

Congrats on finding out. If you want to spill the beans, I'm sure everyone here would be supportive

Our a/s is next Thursday but we aren't revealing until our cookout August 11.  I think THAT is a long while to hold it in.  I'm probably going to have to avoid talking to people for that whole week.

Well, we're not telling anyone else in our families/friends once we find out for sure. But I know DH will let it slip about 50 times over...I'm just hoping that when it does slip, the people he's talking to aren't paying attention.

I feel ya! We found out July 18 and our gender reveal party wasn't until the 21st. It was SO hard to keep it a secret!!
