i dont have my ppartum visit til thursday so i was wondering typically how long after delivery do you stop bleeding? about how long til i can expect my first af? will the ppartum bleeding completely stop before getting my first af?

    My pp bleeding didn't completely stop until about 8 weeks pp.  It was off and on (probably because I had a c/s) and wasn't terribly heavy.  I honestly don't know the answer to the second question.  I didn't get my first af until January-ish and I delivered in November, so for me yes the pp bleeding had completely stopped by then.

    I bled for about a week and a half to two weeks very lightly and I got my AF 33 days later and that also was very light except one day was heavy with no cramps and I usually am heavy with bad cramps.
