I am ignoring the last comment I made on here and hope to get some real answers. If you are here to be rude, please do not comment. Thank you.
Hello all. I have been a lurker on this site for awhile now and have noticed how many ladies have dopplers. I am very excited to be TTC our first and bought one from ebay. I know I am not pregs but have tried it anyway. Can this hurt my chances TTC? I would ask on the Trying to Get Pregnant site but they are scary sometimes. Thank you!
Re: Will a doppler hurt me while TTC?
I'm calling bullshit on the bold.
ok, really?? wow....try using google for this question, as you will just get flamed on here no matter how many times you post this now.
Also, did you ever answer? What are you listening for???
I am not listening for anything! Do you people not read something before throwing in your comments? I want to be comfortable with it. I see many women on this site freak out about dopplers. I wanted to know if it could cause any problems for me or my husband.
Then what exactly is your goal in using it, especially during sex?
Dear lord sweet baby jesus let this be a joke.
But WHY is it interesting? Sounds like a mood killer to me. Good luck with that.
Problems with what? People freak out about dopplers because they are pregnant and have trouble hearing the heartbeat. You are not pregnant, thus where the issue begins. Then, you ask if it could cause problems, but you never specify what kind of problems it might cause. It's not a freaking x-ray. It is not going to fry your body with radiation or make your uterus go crazy. Quit getting upset about the comments you are receiving. You keep asking the same ridiculous question and you will get snarky responses because of it.

This is just getting unreal.
yes, b/c you should be looking for "interesting" things to do during BD
Oh well, if you are only BD'ing for a minute, you have more problems than worrying if a doppler with cause TTC issues...
My husband never comes up with such schemes. Perhaps I should be persuading him to use other tools.
How can you be comfortable with it when you have no idea what you are listening to/for in the first place?
I am hopeful that you are just drunk right now or something, because there is no way you can be serious with this question.
Also, it is a doppler, not a rod of Plutonium.
In all seriousness, it is hard enought o conceive without putting all that pressure on yourself. Put the toy away until you need it, blow your hubby like a good wife, and get to humpin' so one day you may be able to use it.
It may help you get pregnant with "irish twins", if you so desire...?
Thanks for telling me what I can and cannot say on the internet. I'm glad there are some rules out there.
Yep you are done for.... You will never get preggers... sorry....
The answer is no. Forever and ever amen. Now go away.

Are you just slow or something? You use a doppler to listen for your babies heartbeat. There is no baby in there when TTC, so no point in using the doppler. When you get KU and are 10-12 weeks along, then you can break out that doppler and actually have it do something. Right now it does NOTHING!!!! THERE IS NO BABY!!
Ok, thank you. Sorry for the caps.
I love the dad's board!

The only way the Doppler could hurt you, assuming you used it properly, is if someone picked it up and smacked you with it... O.o
Maybe someone already did...
No.
But it is entirely pointless to even attempt to "get comfortable" with it. Your uterus is tucked way down low behind your pelvic bone, so you're not even using it on your uterus, you are using it on your bladder and your bowels. The only thing you will ever be able to find is your own heartbeat/pulse.

is all I could think when reading this entire thread......
Yeah ... you clearly aren't aware of where your non-pregnant uterus is. Unless you ARE putting the doppler on your vag while having sex in which case whatever works for you!
