QOTW: Best resort vacation I have ever had was for my sisters wedding a couple of years ago. She got married at the Azul Sensatori in the Myan Riveria, Mexico. That resort was out of this world. Very baby friendly (had strollers to use for the week, lending library for toys, fisher price highchairs in every restaurant, great kiddie pool and splash pad. PNPs or Cribs, highchairs for your room, gerber baby food, seriously the best). I would love to go to New Zealand and Australia someday and would like to go to the World Jr Hockey Championships over Christmas vacation in either Switzerland/Sweden/Cezch Replublic someday too.
Updates: Took a little stress leave from work because of my latest trip to L&D for bleeding a week ago this past Sunday. Decided to come to visit mom, so she can take care of me for a while. DS is loving visiting his gramma. Resting as much as I can. Baby is moving quite a bit these days and it is a huge relief to feel it with my anterior placenta. DS was supposed to get his cast off last Thurs, but the Orthopedic surgeon, wanted it on for a couple more weeks, then had vacation booked so DS got sentenced to 3 more weeks. This has been a super long summer, poor kid can't go swimming or anything. See the OB next on the 13th.
QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?
For sure Hawaii and of all the islands Maui. I have been to both sides of the big Island, Oahu, Maui and Molokai. It really is paradise. I travel a lot. Have tried to go to Italy 3 times and various things have come up that I have had to cancel the trips. DH and I were planning on going next fall and then surprise! Not sure what we will do now.

Tired of being tired. I think instead of being sick I an just going to be tired the whole time.
Had my 20 week ultrasound and all is well. baby measured right at 20w 3 days. My tech was like that never happens! I was very tempted to find out the sex just for shopping purposes but we are staying Team Green.
QOTW: One of my best vacations was to the Bahamas. My friend booked and paid for everything rather than send flowers to my grandfathers' funerals. Hurricane Katrina hit while we were there but that did not ruin the trip at all. We now know that I can rock 4 inch heels in a Category 1 hurricane (I only had a pair of flip flops and 12 pairs of heels packed).
I would like to go to Italy and explore where DH's family is from. Also, this is weird but I am the only person in my family that has not been to Disney. I guess I want to go there just because I have not.
Updates or vents: I had my first ultrasound on Friday. It was so amazing to see that little heart beating. I am so sick that I feel like I have a hangover all the time. Cravings are starting to come. I wanted Thansgiving dinner so badly that I did roast and turkey, with green beans, mashed potatoes, and stuffing yesterday. Once it was all cooked I was too sick to eat it. I get to see my baby again next week. I just have to keep reminding myself that it is all worth it.

QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?
Hmnmm, best vacation destination I have ever been to was probably Australia, spent a week in Sydney then flew to the barrier reef for a week before flying home. Was Amazing. Best resort I have ever been to was probably in Jamaica, Couples Swept Away in Negril... best. beach. ever. Dream destinations are Bora Bora, Santorini or Samora and an African Safari for adventure.

Have an appt wednesday with a dietician and the GD specialist at the hospital to find out what the next step is as I failed my 3 hr last week... Not excited. Side note Baby Boy is moving around like crazy and appears get more active at the sound of H's voice. Very cute.

My a/s was last Friday and we are getting used to the idea of a girl! Just a little sad I have to get rid of a ton of nice clothes that DS wore.
Best destination - tough question! Beach and sun, I would have to say Moon Palace in Cancun where we honeymooned. Kids are free in the summer, all inclusive, and the pools are awesome. We would love to go back someday with the kids. European destination is a toughie as I went to five cities. I would have to say Rome is #1 for sights and food!

QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?Like you, I have vacationed in the Riviera Maya and I adore it. I've been 3 times now. We actually bought a timeshare at the Palace Resorts during our last trip, and since then we've moved, been unemployed (each of us for a spell - mine the longest!), and now we're less than a month away from becoming parents, so not only have we not used it since we bought it 4 years ago, but I don't see us using this timeshare anytime soon! But I do love it there.
Dream destination has to be a trip around Greece and Turkey. That is/was my goal reward for meeting goal weight on Weight Watchers ...another thing our little monkey has interfered with! But he can interfere all he likes, I would not trade him for all the free airline miles on earth.
Updates or vents? Skin is still suuuuuuper dry on hands and feet, now we've added a new fun pregnancy side effect called ridonculous pelvic pressure. Baby is also still breech. U/S tomorrow morning to see what's up!
QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?
I was fortunate enough when I was in my early 30's to go on a Mediterranean cruise. We stopped in Rome, Spain, Southern France and Portugal.
I honestly love the Carolina coast. It is my perfect destination...sun and relaxation.

I have my 34 week appt. Friday. I will start my weekly appts at 36 weeks. Time is really flying. I know I say this all the time but holy moly! I cannot wait to meet my little man to complete our family. I am so done with being pg. I want my body back!

Hands down best trip ever was to Reykjavik, Iceland for a week about 6 years ago. Went with friend for a music festival (www.icelandairwaves.com). Amazing people, scenery, and music. Walked everywhere. Must.go.back.
Update:
Had my first appointment today. EDD has shifted a couple days to 3/13/13. Good heartbeat at 138 and there is only one in there! I got a script for Zofran and I am hoping between that during the day, Unisom at night, and B6 3 times a day I will kick this MS!

Best beach vacation was in Great Exuma, Bahamas when the Sandals was still a Four Seasons. The water is gorgeous and we were so pampered! Best "busy" vacation was Florence, Italy. I would really love to go to the Maldives, but it looks like that is on hold for awhile now.

best vacation was my honeymoon in Italy. 3 weeks of travel to diffrent regions and cities. Amazing food, sights, memories and shopping of course!
I would love to travel throuh the rest of Itay and Europe.
QOTW: The best trip ever was a cruise to Antarctica! My mom and I went because we wanted to set foot on all 7 continents. It was incredible. To find a place so unspoiled by human beings and so rich with animal life was wonderful! We saw three types of penguins, several types of seals and both orca and humpback whales! We sailed from Argentina and it took two days to sail to the peninsula, but it was so worth it! The trip of a lifetime indeed!
Dream destinations on my bucket list - Churchill, Canada to see the Polar Bears, a photo safari in Africa, Macchu Picchu (Peru) because I am a history lover and to relax in an over-water bungalow in Bora Bora!
Updates:I have an OB appointment today and my u/s tomorrow. I have been very nervous this week because I lost my first LO at 7w5d so getting through this week, and especially seeing a heartbeat tomorrow at the u/s will make me feel a lot better! So please keep good T&Ps for me tomorrow. My appt. is at 11:30 AM Pacific.

Best Vacation:
I've had a ton of good ones!!! But my favorite was probably getting engaged while traveling through South America.
I actually travel a lot for work internationally, but would love a super mellow caribbean beach vacation, where I just get to lay on the beach for 2 weeks - aaaahhh.
Updates:
Still eating my way through house and home! DH calls me his stoner roommate, since I am stocking these cupboards with all sorts of goodies. Also feeling queasy and incredibly exhausted most of the time. Plus, overall my body just feels blah. Can't wait for some of that second tri energy to come!

QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?
The best vacay spot was the Mayan Riviera in Mexico (that's where DH proposed!). Some of our dream places are Belize and Bali. Any where there is white sand and warm green waters.
Updates or vents?
Had my first u/s last week and it was amazing to see our l/o on the screen. Had a bit of scare over the w/e, I started to spot. But we realized it was due to sex (oops!) and the spotting stopped immediately after (phew). Another scare last night when I felt slightly crampy (similar to period cramps) but I think it was due to fatigue. The next week will be especially delicate because I had my last m/c at 9 weeks. I have a feeling I will be jumping at every teeny little thing. I hope I can stay calm and relaxed for the baby.
QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?
That's hard! I know of one of my dream destinations: Costa Rica! I loved Prague and I also loved Liberia. VERY different places and different experiences but amazing places!

I had my NT scan Friday so I am awaiting those results. The tech said the U/S looked good so that's nice. I have my 12 week visit this afternoon! WOOT!

QOTW - Have been lots of amazing places and have lived lots of amazing places. As far as straight up vacations, I'd have to say Paris or San Sebastian are my faves.
I'd really like to visit Asia. A long trip that included Japan, China, and Vietnam would be awesome!
Updates - Going in for a growth u/s this morning and will also check on baby's position.
Vents - My bump's wonky, my back hurts, my ankles are swollen and I'm kind of always wetting myself because my bladder's always being crushed.

QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?
I really liked Hong Kong, and I always enjoy the Napa Valley. Some day I would love to do some kind of active vacation (hiking, kayaking) in New Zealand. Also, if I hadn't gotten pregnant this year, we were seriously looking at the Historic Lodges tour of Glacier NP for this summer - where you stay in 4 of the different nicer historic lodges in the park and take 5-10 mile hikes each day.

Had my OB appointment last week (28 weeks). I was measuring right on track. My BP continues to be slightly elevated, but not so much so that my doctor is worried. Had my first GD appointment yesterday, and so far all of my sugar levels have been well within normal ranges. It is a pain writing down everything I eat and checking my sugar 4 times a day. Oh well. It's only for another 2+ months.
QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?
Best: Tulum, Mexico staying in a secluded beach hut. It is almost rivaled by my baby moon stay at a coffee plantation overlooking the ocean on the big island of Hawaii.
Dream: ha long bay, Vietnam. I have wanted to go there for a long time, but it just hasn't happened yet.

I haven't checked in for awhile, but I am still here and still pregnant. Now I am 5 days after 40 weeks and getting tired of waiting. I am doing all I can to convince the lo it is time to come out, but so far he has not been listening. Next dr appt is Thursday. I am hoping that some progress will be evident by then since there wasn't any the last time I was checked at 39 weeks. Waiting kinda sucks. I gotta say it!

QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations?
Best was probably to Disney World with my son when he was six. He had a crazy crush on Minnie Mouse and she kissed him. It was super cute and fun and relaxing even if it was hot as hades.
My dream vacation I will get to experience in September. DH and I are going to Fiji for a week and then to California for a week.
Updates or vents?
Still have morning sickness and can't wait for it to go away. I have been having lots of little pains because of ligaments stretching but nothing that is really bad. I have my next OB visit tomorrow and will hopefully be scheduling our U/S for the end of August.
QOTW: Where is the best vacation destination you have ever been to and where are some of your dream destinations? The best so far was Turks and Caicos. The water is calm and gorgeous! We swam in the ocean everyday and snorkeled and ate. It's where I learned to kayak. My dream destination is Italy. Oh and Ireland too.
Updates or vents? I'm now going to the Dr. every two weeks, I'm still measuring big. I went to my first class on Monday and it was interesting but the seat was really uncomfortable so it seemed really long. Baby is healthy and I'm so thankful for that!

The BEST destination I've been to has to be Hawaii. That could be the rose colored glasses of my honeymoon though. DH and I spent 5days in on Oahu, and 5 days on Maui. Two totally different atmospheres for sure, and both well worth it!
My second favorite was the Bahamas... but that was so long ago (I was 14) I'm sure it's a totally different place now.

I have two best destinations----too different and too hard to decide! 1) Hawaii---My DH and I spent 12 glorious days there last summer on our honeymoon. We went to Oahu, Big Island, and Maui. Of the three, Big Island was by FAR my favorite. So incredibly different and fascinating! I did love Oahu because I enjoyed seeing Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri. Words cannot describe Hawaii! 2) Disney World--My DH and I are the BIGGEST Disney fans.....We went there a few years ago and even did a Keys to the Kingdom tour where we went "below ground" and learned all the "secrets" Walt Disney employeed when building Disney World! This is truly the happiest place on earth for us! Updates or vents? Saw OB yesterday for my 23 week appointment. Heard the Little One's heartbeat. What a sweet, comforting sound! I am feeling the little one move more and more and my DH FINALLY got to feel a kick two nights ago! And...baby furniture was delivered today. just waiting on armoire which won't be here till Sept (that;s why we needed to order so early!) Painter will come on Monday to paint the bedroom. I CANNOT wait to start decorating and organzing!It will be a surprise!

We really love Mexico, especially the Playa del Carmen area. We've travelled all over and find we go back here again and again.

I have two completely different vacations that are kinda tied for best in an no-comparable kind of way:
1. Trip to the Bahamas. It was a family vacation with my in-laws, including sister-in-law, husband and their two boys (both just under 10 at the time). It was an absolute blast wandering around the resort there and enjoying the splash park with the boys. (Unfortunately, I had to skip out on my much-wanted rock climbing because I wasn't careful and got a nasty burn. Luckily, that was near the end of the trip.)
2. Honeymoon to Hollywood and Disneyland. Being an east coast girl, it had been a VERY long time since I went to CA and more so since I visited Disneyland. Hubby and I spent a few days ogling the sites around Hollywood and Vine. Then spent the rest of the trip acting like giggling kids as we ran around the parks. (They had recently started this pin-trading game between visitors and staff, and we were having such a grand time hunting down the most unique ones. Still have the collection safely saved.)

I've been feeling particularly huge lately, and I still have 3+ months to go. And this little boy has been so very active. (He's kicking me right now!)
I'm also still tired half the time. My productivity goals were all bypassed last night for passing out in front of a movie.
