Part of me wonders if that's a ploy to try and convince them to grant him an insanity plea or something.
This is one of the cases where I'm totally in support of capital punishment. Anyone who can walk into a crowded room wearing riot gear, throw a smoke bomb to confuse his victims, and then pick people off as they try to run does not deserve a second chance. It somehow seems even worse that one of his victims was a little kid...he took away her life, and I think they should take away his.

This. Mostly. I don't agree that it's worse because he killed 1 kid and all the rest were adults. People are people, regardless of age. I think he's behaving like this to try and find a loophole. I'm all for capital punishment, especially in instances like this where he's showing no remorse. I think it's really, really disturbing.
I saw it too and was very freaked out by his behavior in the court room. I have a feeling and insanity plea will come BUT I think they may have enough evidence to show the shooting was premeditated. I mean he did buy how many guns and ammunition?
He's is completely sick and personally instead of the death penalty I wish in cases like this we still had corporal punishment! Put him in a theatre and shoot him in places that won't kill him, then finish him off a couple days later!
I understand that this is America and people are assumed innocent until proven guilty, but it irritates that he is being referred to as "the suspect". He did it. The end.

Don't forget about how wired up his apartment was. There's no way that he's going to get off on insanity when there's so much to prove this whole thing was premeditated.

That was my initial thought, but if you look closer his pupils are completely dialated in a well lit room. It looks like he is under the influence of something; your pupils don't get that dialated from a lack of sleep.

Agreed. He's gotta be on something.

They also found evidence on his computer that suggested that he has been planning this for at least four months.
And I agree with PP.. they keep saying the "suspect" or that he allegedly did t. no. It was him. Period!

Mh said the same thing. But he thinks anyone that murders anyone should just be killed off immediately...(if this were to happen then people like Lindsey Lohan can actually do the full yr (or whatever) in the chokey!)
Apparently he isn't cooperating at all so maybe they drugged him so he wouldn't act like a complete nutter during the court proceedings. I have no idea if that is legal...

I'm not sure if I want to know what he is thinking!

I watched it this morning. So creepy. Didn't he have dark, normal hair in his mug shot? How did his hair get orange?
No sane person would do that, but it doesn't mean we should lock him up for the rest of his life.
