How to take a photo midjump

I thought for Christmas cards this year (yes, I'm thinking about Christmas) I'd have DD in super cute holiday jammies jumping on the bed with some cute Jumping for Joy saying...

Anyway, what shutter adjustings should I use?  Anything else I should adjust to get it so it's not blurry?

  • When taking the picture you want to focus on her and lead the camera in the direction she is moving, much like if you were taking a picture of a sporting event or any moving object for that matter. Do you shoot Manual? You can also put it on rapid fire to get as many shots off before she lands.

  • It depends on your camera - I have an olympus point and shoot and it has a shoot and select option in the scene options. It just keep taking pictures every second while you hold the button. otherwise I would use the sport setting if it has one. I'm no help with fancier cameras though.

I would use the action sequence shot if you have it. I think it is called burst mode??
