Updated: Prodromal labor w/ a ? (edited)

With DD and DS, I was high/firm/0cm/0% until at least 39 weeks LOL, so this before my EDD stuff is all "new" to me... 

This time:  
36wk - almost 1cm / 50% / head down and anterior cervix 
37wk - 1cm / 60% / head down and baby super low

Update: Okay so last night (7/24), ctx's started coming every 5-6 mins and lasting 60-70 secs.  They've not changed since.  They feel like early labor did with DS, and my body has been doing all the "prepping" stuff.  

Question:  I've forgotten ... with prodromal labor, do you try to speed it up?  Or is that often counter-productive?

I've heard that with the third, women typically have A LOT of prodromal labor. But at least you body is prepping and getting ready!

Thank you for replying!  I hadn't heard that, but it definitely makes sense.  So far, I'm just taking it easy and not really doing much to advance it since I'm not at my EDD yet.  I'm so glad things are starting already though!
