Any experience with Counting the Blessings CDs or other Etsy CD?

We ordered a single CD cover & insert from Counting the Blessings on Etsy and we love the quality, but we're not sure really how to care for the insert, given that's not the standard cotton prefold. We just put it on our daughter the night we got it and it leaked a ton, so I'm thinking we should have washed it a few times first. Any other tips? Are you supposed to double stack the inserts at night? Sorry for the ignorant questions, but I'm a newbie

Also, any other positive Etsy experiences? There are a surprising amount of CD vendors there and I like the idea of supporting a mom with her home business.

I've purchased three diapers from Chucklepants Cloth Diapers on Etsy and love them all.  I did all fitteds and the owner is great to work with.  She does other types of diapers, as well.

My favourite Etsy CD seller is MamaMade.  I've only used her fitteds though, not the AI2s that she's been primarily making lately.

I had a HORRIBLE experience with ecofamily777. The elastic in back snapped on 2 of them (before I even put them on DS. I was just stuffing the insert when it happened) and when I sent them back she said I did it on purpose (WHY I would do that is beyond me). The seams were also unraveling because she didn't backstitch, and the snaps didnt stay snapped, I'm guessing they were pretty cheap. When I complained, she deleted my purchase so I couldn't leave negative feedback >:( So ya, I was NOT impressed.
