For those who have attended a BFing class

Hello, everyone!  I have been super lame and haven't attended any kind of classes yet, but I plan on attending a BFing class this week.  My question to anyone who has attended this kind of class is if you attended with someone whether it was your DH, SO, mom, friend etc.  Did you find it helpful to have someone with you, or did you wish that you went alone?  For those who have gone alone, did you wish you had someone with you?  My DH is deployed and obviously not able to go with me, so I was just wondering if I should ask a friend to go with me or just to go solo, which is completely find by me.

I went with DH, but I would have been fine going alone. If its a longer class, I'd probably want someone to come along.

If you have someone who will be staying with you or coming to help you out after LO is born, you might find it helpful for them to go with you, but you'd be fine going alone too.

It was nice to have SO there because they talked about how partners can help you in the process, but otherwise I'd have been fine going alone as well!

I actually would have felt awkward with DH there. Even married, my breasts are very personal to me and feeding my child is the one thing only I can do for my child.

I was glad my SO came with me. Even though I'm sure it's not the most exciting thing for a man, he learned a lot and so did I. (I was lucky enough to have a pretty good class)

DH went with me.  He said that he learned a lot.  I think it will make it easier for him to understand what I will be going through.  I would say about 1/2 the class had their SOs with them.  Some women brought friends, but others went by themselves.  Do what makes you feel most comfortable.

DH went and we're both really glad he did. A few ladies were there with what seemed to be their moms, but there were roughly 25 couples of people and most of them seemed to be actual couples. DH really enjoyed it and learned a lot.

ack, posted before I was done and I can't edit on my phone! I'd say if you have a friend or relative who will be supporting you often--not just visiting once every couple months--bring them along. It's not necessary, but of you have a close friend who you'll see a couple times a week, they might benefit and you might benefit from an extra set of ears.

My DH joined me primarily to learn how he can be supportive during breastfeeding.  He found it very useful.  There were approximately 10 expecting moms in my class.  Four brought their DH or SO, one came with her mom, and the others came alone.  Although I would have been fine attending the class on my own, I am glad that my DH was there to learn.

Thank you for your input, ladies!  I really appreciate it!  I might ask one of my friends to attend with me, and if she can't I feel better about going alone.

I went alone and only one woman in the class had her DH with her. The rest of the women came alone. Overall there were like 8 of us. I don't think it was necessary for DH to come. He listens better anyway when I come home and just fill him in on what's relevant to him rather than him trying to focus for 2hours on a lot that doesn't mean much to him.
