Wash separately?

I just received some brand new BG4.0s in the mail.  Some of them had a sticker on them saying to wash dark colored diapers 6 times separately before putting in with other diapers.  Is this really necessary?

    Most women say no. I would wash the shells once with my regular dark laundry just to be safe.

    Most people say it's not. I got one (sassy color) and I just soaked it in hot water for an hour or so.

    I washed my 4.0's once separately, but didn't with my Freetimes. No issues with bleeding at all.

    I've never done that and have had no issues.
