Hi ladies, Im just wondering if having a c section will affect my IVF chances ths next time around. My baby just flipped and turned breech last week so I will have to have a c section. I want o know if any of you ladies have had a c section and had a successful IVF or frozen embryo transfer afterwards. My DH and I are hopefully planning to try again in a year and I'm getting worried about how this c section will affect me.
Re: Does a C-section affect my IVF chances next time?
I also had a C-section, and although I haven't yet tried for a 2nd child, my OB and my MFM both told me when I was pregnant that a C-section won't affect the chances of implanting a frozen embryo. Hopefully my RE will tell me the same thing.

It shouldn't. The traditional c-section incision isn't the area where the REs are aiming for when they do a transfer. I've had both a FET and IVF since my c-section and there was no talk that it could affect my chances. My FET resulted in a chemical pg which in my mind means that it wasn't an implantation issues, but an embryo issue. So far my IVF appears to have been successful (5ish weeks).
ETA: Have you looked into any of the methods that are used to try and turn a breech baby? I don't have any experience, but there are external versions, and I also think acupuncture and chiropractic methods.

I had a c-section with my girls, I did an IVF BFN, IVF c/p and the FET finally worked.
I don't think my c-section had anything to do with the fresh cycles.

I had a c-section. Then I had hernia surgery to repair my c-section that didn't heal right. It was a mess and I was scared I'd have problems for #2.
Then I did IVF for #2. It worked the 1st time and my c-section was smoother and a faster, easier recovery.
