I did before I was pregnant. It's a class D drug for pregnancy which means if you are pregnant or breast feeding it will hurt the baby. It stops anxiety for me within 10-15 minutes.
I take it on an as needed basis, .25 mg up to 4 times a day but I never need it that much. The most I take is .5 a day (2 pills) and that helps me with my anxiety. How often I take it varies, right now probably once or twice a week to help out with anxiety attacks. It does help, especially with panic/crying jags I get. It just helps calm me down and think more clearly. It does NOT make me loopy/tired/etc.
My dr just have me a prescription yesterday. I started to have panic attacks at night. I took my first dose last night. I ebf but my dr told me it would not be safe to Bf for 12 hours after I take a dose. I gave my daughter formula mixed with some pumped bm. I felt guilt about doing this but i know It needed it to happen. I just pumped and dumped last night.
Yes.. I take as needed but I always take one before bed. I have trouble falling asleep, same as pre baby. I like them because they work quickly if you are having an anxiety attack or feel one coming on. If I feel one coming on I take half a dose first. If its too late and full blown I take a whole dose (.5 mg).
i take xanax 1mg up to three times a day for anxiety associated with PPD/PPA/PPOCD. it works like a DREAM! it's like the anxious switch just gets switched off. i'm also on 150mg of zoloft a day. it's great to feel human again!
