Some of you might have read my posts last week about my scare - I was told I had a 1/60 chance of downs syndrome and then when I had my anatomy scan, they said it was 1/30 after they found a potential irregularity in the baby girl's heart. I went and had a fetal echo & the heart was fine; and I just got the results of the Maternit21, also FINE! So basically I spent a week and worrying over NOTHING. I wanted to post this for anyone who ends up in this situation - I think our age inflates these numbers and makes us more likely to have worrisome numbers. Of course my heart goes out to people who do not have a good result, and I know those do happen, but I hoped sharing my experience might help sooth some stress for others (also they told me it would take two weeks for the result and it only took 8 days).
Re: Maternit21 test
One thing that really helped me was reading this board (which is why I posted - pay it forward, right? :-). I read how many of us went through this and most people really do have a good result. Regardless, I know you won't feel better until you get your good result. Keep us posted!
