Hi ladies, I'm excited to start my CD stash. I saw this package deal online:
and I'm wondering if this is a good place to start. It may be a little early, but this seemed like a good deal. I'd like to stick to natural and if possible organic materials. I don't want to get just one style, and I plan on getting about 24 for the newborn stage, so the other half of my stash I'm going to try and keep it a variety.
Does this seem like a good start, or is it foolish to get so many of the same style before finding what I like? I think the appeal of these are that DH would do it without much fuss as he's not totally on board with CDing yet.
Thanks!
Re: Starting my stash, is this a good idea?
Personally just get some prefolds and covers for the NB stage or rent some NB diapers from somewhere b/c babies grow so fast. The OS daipers start fitting most babies at 8lbs are a better deal for the pocket book. It says these diapers are good 6 ? 20 pounds all 3 of my LO?s would have out grown these diapers by 5 or 6 months.
I rented my NB size AIO?s from cutiepoops.com (she will return from her maternity leave soon)When I started CDs, I bought a snazzy minky package similar to the one you are considering. I love them. I do see pp's point about newborn diapers, but I didn't switch to cloth until my DD was almost a year, so I have no experience. My son would have out grown those around 9 months, but my daughter is 15 months and just now 20 pounds.
Maybe get that pack and then some prefolds and covers to round out your newborn stash??
