I'm not a snack person, really... So I'll answer it a little differently. If I get home too late to have a "real" dinner (say, at 10 p.m.), I'll have a sandwich with prosciutto, cheddar cheese, and an egg (and take a bunch of Lactaid ). Does that count as a snack?
Sweet snack? Anything dark chocolate. Or if it's just a handful of something, it's honey nut cheer.ios.
Savory: I am addicted to round, buttery crackers (you know the brand I am talking about) spread with onion and chive cream cheese and topped with pepperoni.
Sweet: I do not really eat a lot of sweets late at night. If I do it will be some sort of ice cream. Currently I am haivng a bit of an affair with Ree.ses peanut butter cup bars, the round ones...all of that extra pb swirled in the pb ice cream...mmmm.
I am often hungry when I'm up for the 1am feeding but I don't want to eat much because I want to hoard my calories for breakfast and real meals. So usually just a handful of hazelnuts or walnuts - they take the edge off for ~150 calories. That's my savory. Sweet: When I'm hungrier and have eaten less the previous day, or I'm just grumpy, I'll have an English muffin with all-fruit marmalade or strawberry jam.
Right now I'm eating anything I can find - last night it was a chocolate green food bar. But... If I could have anything, savory would be pieces of cheese (or popcorn) and sweet definitely ice cream.
It is pretty rare that I eat after dinner - and almost always when I do, it is something sweet. I love the mini Drumstick ice cream cones or L and I love the Edys/Dryers all fruit bars (coconut or lemonade - yum.) If I am really truly hungry, I will make a PB&J or a bowl of cereal.
I don't normally do late night savory snacks. If I eat anything after dinner, it's sweet. Ice cream or fig new.tons or nut.ella on a graham cracker or with chocolate ted.dy grahams...but man you gotta limit those teddies...the combo is addictive.
Sweet--this is my default. Ice cream or Froyo. I have to eat something before bed (I take a medication then that makes me nauseous on an empty stomach) and just figured out that applesauce will soothe that craving.
