Hi,
I?m not new, but decided to change my screen name since my old one was
from my Knot days and had a little too much personal info. I have never
really posted on here, but was always lurking, reading ideas when I was
pregnant.
I am
now looking for ideas on classic girl names (because I have none on my
name list), that are not too common, and not too unique. Something that
makes you think, oh yea, I forgot about that name, and it is great!
I?m
not expecting yet but it took us a while to come up with DD?s name:
Audrey Belle. I am so in love with her name, it fits her so well, and I just feel I cannot
find another girl name that I love like that.
I have two possible girl middle names: Drew or Carol (both family names) but I do not want to use either for a first name.
And if this helps, I have a few boy names I like: Henry, Bennett, Everett, Elliot, Owen.
What would you name Audrey's sister?
Re: Sister for Audrey?
Congrats on your little Audrey! I get so many compliments on her name, you will soon see!
Violet is nice, and my husband had an auntie named Violet. But then it also makes me think of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!
I love Audrey! It's at the top of our list for DD#2 (if we have another girl), I think would go great with my DD's name: Emma. Other ideas:
Audrey and Vivienne
Audrey and Charlotte
Audrey and Delia
Audrey and Camille
Audrey and Fiona
Audrey and Lydia
Audrey and Vera
Audrey and Grace
Audrey and Olivia/Olive
Audrey and Victoria
Audrey and Sophia
Audrey and Claire
Audrey and Hannah
I think Savannah Drew sounds lovely.
So, I'm not sure how well this name goes with Carol or Drew as a middle, but I'm a HUGE fan of the name Ruby or Alice for a girl (I'm prego w/ a boy, but if I was having a girl, I would have gone with one of those!)
I think Audrey and Alice or Audrey and Ruby would be a cute combo
ETA: I feel like you and I have similar taste in names, as I'm naming my son Elliot James
Hailey Drew
Ava Carol(ine)
Audrey Belle is beautiful.
Suggestions - Emmeline, Charlotte, Genevieve, Lillian, Vivienne, Samantha, Jocelyn, Eloise, Meredith, Cassandra, Victoria, Catherine, Elise, Josephine, Gwendolyn, Lila, Evangeline, Simone, Lucia, Sylvia, Jillian
Thanks all. I do like: Violet, Vivienne, Olivia, Lila, Gwendolyn/Gwenyth, Claire, & Hannah. But I don't LOVE them.
I really like the sound of Ava Drew, but my daughter has a few girls with that name in daycare, so I can only imagine when she goes to school.
Savannah Drew does sound pretty good too! Overall, these will all go on my list, and I have plenty of time to learn to love them, thanks for the help!
Oh and Elliot James is a GREAT name. Love it.
How about Beatrice? My grandmas are named Audrey and Beatrice, so I naturally associate them together. Somebody once posted that their DD will be named Ruth Beatrice with the nn Ruby and I love that! I also know sisters named Beatrice (nn Birdy) and Rose (nn Rosie).
