Good day all! I am so thankful to have found this group  I have been lurking quite some time, taking notes and learning from you all.

I'm Alishia and my DW is Chris. We had a beautiful wedding last summer and were planning on TTC this summer. Unfortunatly in January I found out that my work may be closing. At the end of September our regional council will vote on our closure. This news has put a huge damper on our excitement about TTC and raised a lot of questions for us about our timeline. We are really hoping that if my work closes it will be a phased out closure over the next year or two. My idea is to milk a mat leave out of them before the closure, as the top up is really good and so is my current salary. I have pretty good benefits too so it would be great to utilize them. Too bad sperm isn't covered tho! Plus I will have a year to find a job while I'm on mat leave 

Anyway GREAT news...today we booked our RE consult, August 29! We don't know exactly when we will start TTC. Maybe this fall or maybe next summer. But at least we will have done all the ground work and have some ducks in a row. Today I am excited!! Thank you for listening.

Welcome!  I remember from the first time you posted, as you guys got married right about when we did.  GL with the RE, and I hope the board is helpful on your journey, I know it has been for me.
