Does Kaiser provide PP care items to take home?

I gave birth to DD at a Sutter hospital and was provided with enough maxi pads, witch hazel pads, mesh panties to get me through the first 24 hrs PP at home plus a squirt bottle for cleaning and ice packs.

This time around I'll be giving birth at a Kaiser hospital.  I haven't been able to take a tour yet, I'm transferring at the last month and I have my first appt. next week.  But I want to make sure I'm stocked up at home.

Also, should I bring formula & bottles with me or will they have those (I'm not going to bf)?

  • i was provided with all of that in the hospital, when you get discharged you can take whatever is leftover.  I had to purchase extra witch hazel pads.  They even gave me a sitz bath kit, VERY soothing.  Formula not sure because I breastfed only, but I want to say it's provided.

  • Kaiser wil provide some formula, mesh panties, Dermaplast, Tucks pads, peri bottle, diapers, Vaseline, basically all items for baby that are in the room with you. However, they don't allow the blankets to be taken home (unlike other hospitals) so be sure you have a blanket for baby for the ride home.
