Our daughter, Elsa, was born last night after a successful 10-hour pre-term induction at 34w exactly. We did a short visit to the NICU late last night, and it totally broke my heart to leave her. Today is a little better as we are starting to put her to put her to the breast to practice and introducing her to colostrum in a bottle as well, and we can hold her. I still hate being away from her, though. We hope she will continue to do well. She was a robust 5lbs. 10 oz. I know I will be nervous until she gets close to discharge, though. Thanks to all who responded to my prior posts, and I look forward to participating more here now that my preemie has arrived.
