I occasionally got these side cramps/stitches (always on my right side) when walking... not braxton hicks contractions, but always localized to one spot, and it feels exactly like when I used to run and I'd get a "stitch" in my side. Deep breathing always helped it go away pre-baby... but today, I was walking to work, and it would NOT stop. It subsides if I sit down, but the minute I get back up, it aches again. I slow down to a really slow walk, and deep breathing helps, but it doesn't make it go away.
Any remedies you want to share with me?
Re: side stitch when walking
I am almost five foot. my baby actually is big. He is measuring 4 weeks a head of schedule, so with the short torso and a big baby, i am pretty sure we are just screwed! My girlfriend got one of those belts and said it was more uncomfortable than it helped.
when mine started hurting earlier today i tried holding my stomach up like the belt would, and it didnt do much other than making me look like an idiot!
we are really close in due dates too, although the doc said with my size and the size of my fat baby, and i am diabetic, we will not go past 38 weeks.
do people keep telling you that you are going to go on bedrest because of your height and size? i am going to scream if one more person says that to me!!
I have had the same thing. Sitting down is the only remedy I have found. Do you best to slow down and sit down if possible
