Last week someone mentioned their LO had a bump on their thigh that was opposite the side they got their shots on. If you're reading this, did you ever find out what it was? When I was nursing L tonight I noticed she had a small hard bump at the base of her skull on the right side. I took her to MH to have a look but she was tired and wouldn't sit still, them as we were feeling her head I discovered a slightly bigger one on the left side. I thought it must be the bone but they seem to move slightly when touched. Maybe hardened fat deposits? I'm pretty sure if they'd been there long I would have noticed before. Her 10-month wellness is a month from now but if they look like something other than bone or bug bite I guess I'll bring her in.
Re: Whose baby had the bump on their leg?
It was me!
Yeah he got shots on the top of his thighs but the bump is on his outer thigh. At his cardiology appointment, I brought it up. They asked if he recently had vaccinations. I said yes, of course. She said sometimes they get the needle in wonky, or if the baby is squirming it can go in weird. She said its most likely some kind of fluid build up from the shots, though. And it is getting smaller.
I would take her in if you are concerned. I've never heard of bumps that move, but I don't know a whole lot, ha. Hope its just nothing!

BLOG :] & Shaping Up
CK has a small, moveable pump (maybe pea-sized?) on the back of her head, left side, bottom of skull. I had her ped look at it during her 9 month checkup, and she said it was normal, and was a lymph node...
