I will try to be fair.

Let's talk about the two BEST pies: Caramel and Chocolate

not only is caramel pie delicious, it is also shockingly easy to make.  and you can put chocolate curls on top. 

 This pie has it all.  and is superior to cheesecake because I said so.

the only cheesecake that can touch pie is possibly tiramisu cheesecake.  because it's two desserts in one, but not gross like that thing where the pie is baked in the cake.

and cake.  cake is boring (unless it's ice cream cake).  it can be dry.  the icing can be crap.  there's just so many variables.  even people who like cake often think this:

wherein the actual cake is the least desirable of the components.

the two best cakes in the world-Red Velvet and Italian Cream-because they aren't available in pie form:

there are exceptions to most rules, and I just thought of one:

Flourless chocolate guinness cake with bailey's cream is better than cheesecake.

Agreed. I do like peanut butter pie, chocolate pie and pumpkin pie though. Ice cream is the best.

I don't think we can all get along.  Possibly we can all agree this is disgusting.

Cherpumple.  Cherry, pumpkin, and apple pie baked in a cake.  it's an abomination.
