when did your preemies start decreasing their o2 levels? i  have a 26weeker,4months/1month on 1/2 lpm. THANKS!!

    My 26 weeker who came home on 1/8L per minute O2. He was on that for 3 months post discharge. He was 7 actual, 4 adjusted before he was fully weaned from the O2. Good luck!

    My 26 weeker came home on 0.03L of oxygen and now only needs it for a few hours overnight when she is in her deep sleep.  She started only needing it overnight about 3.5 weeks ago.  It has been a pretty gradual weaning process, from being on it 24/7 to just overnight.  She is now about 5.5 months old (2 months adjusted)--but verify this with my ticker.

    My 26 weeker started decreasing while in the NICU and was off all O2 support by the time she was 31 or 32w.  We were really lucky.

    One of my 30 seekers needed O2 for 3 months and the other ended up needing it for 4 months because she ended up contracting RSV (even though she never left the house other than for doctors apts).
