C-sections

New posted to this board

Hi ladies,

I have never posted to this board before and actually never read this board until a week ago when I found out my baby girl is head up.  So, tomorrow morning I am going in for my scheduled c-section.  Not nervous-just excited!  Any advice?  I have read many posts on here about stool softeners (check) and getting up and moving as soon as possible to help healing (check).

 TIA!

Re: New posted to this board

  • I recommend super high waisted pants OR nursing dresses (if you are bfing) for after. My incision was really sore for a few weeks and I was unable to wear anything that hit near it. That is including underwear.

Also, if you are bfing ask to do skin to skin immediately, that way your milk will hopefully come in a timely manner.

    Good luck!

  • Just like you already know, I just have to stress the moving around.  Get up as early as you have full feeling back, and move as often as possible.  The longer I was still the more uncomfortable it was to get going, especially in the morning.  Don't feel guilty sending the baby to the nursery to rest.
