Got a letter from the IRS stating that we were audited and we owe them $5,000..really because I don't remember responding to an audit...turns out I can say I told you so to my DH..I told him that we had to report the 600 stimulus money that he ( I didn't get it) got to the irs and pay taxes on it..he adamently said no we dont..well we did! (that is part of the audit, I think that flagged us). Second we took a deduction for student loans that we did not qualify for..oops that was a legitimate mistake..so now we have to pay that money back. UGH

Next, I get  a call from our agency. Our profile was shown and we weren't picked!!! I didn't even know what to say. So I asked a bunch of stupid questions. Ones that I don't even care the answer too.

tomorrow will be better..onward

Ugh, I'm sorry that sucks.  It's bad enough to owe the IRS I'm sure the call from your agency didn't help matters.  I'm sorry, I hope tomorrow is a better day.

DH and I both had one coors light..that is a big week night for us! it will all work out. We are working on the response to the irs now..if we owe it, we will pay..part of it was an honest to goodness mistake.. the other was just poor research and understanding..it will work out!
