I think one is prepregnancy or under 30 and the other is over 30/ after child. I haven't used it post partum (breastfeeding and then mirena inserted), but I loved it. I was really freaked out by the idea at first, and there was about a 2 month learning curve, but it really is great. I only had to empty it a few times a day and didn't feel it at all. I didn't find taking it out messy, but I did practice a lot at home first. Because it's not absorbant, you can even put it in on those days that you think you might get your period- kind of prevents a mess. There are disposable cups, forget what they're called, but I used them when trying to get pregnant and liked them so it was a pretty easy transition to the diva.
A helpful tip I learned, was you can cut the stem off if it is hanging out. I guess my cup sits low.. And I try to push it all the way up, just my anatomy i guess. But this is common. I've also heard of people turning it inside out, though I've never tried that. Also, if you have a light flow (I do) I could leave it in 12-24 hours without dumping it. But heavier flow youd change more often. I really like it, I like mama cloth lots too!! You can use some liners as back up while you get te hang of the cup.
I love my Diva cup !! I agree with PP that it took a couple of months to get used to putting it in proper/comfortably but after I mastered it - I'm a fan !

I just used mine for the first time pp, and there is no difference from pre pregnancy, I was already using the larger size as I am over 30. It is so much nicer than any other form of protection, as pp said though there is a bit of a learning curve, so I would use back-up until you get the hang of it.
Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy.
I was really intrigued with the idea of the diva cup and wanted to love it. I was never comfortable, it made cramps worse and always seemed to try to peek out of me. I did not want to go back to buying tampons so I tried looking for something else. I found the
https://www.ladycup.eu/ , it's made in the Czech Republic and shipped from there too, ship time was about 5 days. For me there was a world of difference. The diva was so very firm I felt it all day, suction to the cervix was painful, and though I chose for my age/size it never fit properly. You can google "mentsral cup size comparison" to see charts on all available and how wide the size range is. I believe the Diva is one of the largest.
Once i found a good fit, there has been no down sides.
