hello ladies! my hubs wants the name of our son to be marshall...while i don't hate it anymore, i don't love it! Thoughts on this name and possibilities of a middle name? I am the only one who knows this is another boy, he is convinced it's a girl, and really doesn't even want to discuss any boy names with me! what do you think of when you hear marshall?

Wait, so the doctor told you the sex but not your DH? Does he know you know it's a boy? Or do you just mean that you have a strong feeling that it's a boy?

Anyway, I love the name Marshall. It might be my favorite male M name. My first association with the name is the character from How I Met Your Mother, and he is hilarious.

I think of the university, like in the movie where the football team chants " we are Marshall..."

Otherwise I think it's ok.

I don't really like the name Marshall. It seems kind of weak to me (I think because it sound like "marshmallow")

But it doesn't matter what we think of the name... if you don't like it, you shouldn't name your son that.
