Every time I watch WNtW I get the sinking sensation that Stacy and Clinton would have an effing field day with me.
I'm 21. The only clothes I have besides maternity clothes are sweat pants and t-shirts. I have 4 pairs of shoes including a pair of crocs.
I know its bad but dude I wouldn't even know where to start.
Re: Ever feel like you'd be a candidate for what not to wear?
As long as no one catches me at home. Sometimes I don't even I get dressed if I'm not heading out. I don't think I do too shabby when I'm out of the house though. I've had my days I'm sure.
I would love a make over and some new clothes though.
uhg don't get me started on hair. I haven't had it cute since DD was 6 weeks old. Also make up is basically non existent.
My grandmother keeps threatening me when I'm not pg. I keep telling her "Go right ahead."

I most certainly would be a candidate. Maternity tops, sweat pants and flip flops = normal daily wear. Altho - I do wear "real" pants in public, I just change into sweats immediately after walking in the door.
I feel ashamed that I love this show, but take none of their advice to heart.

How about we all nominate each other, and they can do TB ladies makeovers. I've been in and out of maternity clothes for the last 6 years or so, I am tossing out the remanents of that and any other article of clothing that is just crappy. I have almost nothing left. And the last "stylist" I went to effed up my hair. And I could use some new makeup, the girls, well, used it up....nuff said.
And shoes, I really need new shoes. That's not for lack of trying. Shoe shopping never goes well. I find something that works for me, and for work, well, they never have my size in stock. Stupid flippers.
Nope! I will never let myself go. I swore that to myself before I had kids and will stick to it.
I said something about this to my husband this weekend. Currently, almost none of my normal clothes fit and I'm not sure that the shirts I do own are all that stylish, even if I could wear them. He said that I was no where near bad enough for the show, which made me feel a little better.
I still would like a new $5000 wardrobe and help picking it out though.

Grocery shopping in an outfit like this isn't going to happen in my world.
I basically wore zip up hoodies, jeans and Uggs or sweats from the day LO was born until he turned 18 months old.
I just recently started making more of an effort to look more put together. As soon as I bought a few new outfits and made more efforts to put on a little extra makeup and wear my hair down the compliments started rolling in. It really helped to boost my self esteem which I really needed.
I really do like the show What Not to Wear but wearing a blouse, skirt and cute flats to go grocery shopping just doesn't happen in my world. Most of their style advice is spot on though.
I went to a high school that required uniforms. I wore jeans, zip up hoodies and various black t-shirts with stuff on them on the weekends.
Then I worked all day in scrubs at a daycare. During the weekend I still wore the same hoodies and jeans.
Then I went and had kids. We put all my nonmaternity clothes (not that they were all that many or that flattering) in my parents storage unit. They discovered last summer that their unit was covered in black mold. All my crap was thrown out, not that I think it would still fit.
The only nonmaternity stuff I own is forgiving for 1st tri and right after I have the babies... IE sweat pants.

I would love it for some causal clothes! I'm okay for work (would love some updating) but need help with jeans that fit, comfy shoes for chasing kids that aren't running shoes and something besides jammy pants for at home. I have business jammies and not much in between.
I have grocery shopped in heals....after work during the 5 pm rush.
During this pregnancy?, totally.
Third trimester has been particulary bad in terms of my fashion choices, mostly because I'm cheap and refuse to buy stuff to wear just for a few more weeks, so I keep wearing the same awful tops and black pregnancy pants. Today I'm wearing the ugliest blouse (which a co-worker was nice enough to give me as a gift, thank God, or I'd have nothing to wear)
