Adopt US Kids?

Is anyone registered on there? Any experiences with them?  Just curious! 

 

ETA: I guess that's just the website for the foster system? Sorry, I'm way confused. Do they just match kids who are in the system and available for adoption?

We first found out about our daughter after seeing her picture and biography on adoptuskids. From my experience, I've learned that the procedure varies drastically from state to state and even county to county as to how the process goes once somebody inquires about a child on adoptuskids. There were some organizations that told us we'd need to go with a private agency and do the classes through them and then establish our homestudy, etc, etc and our daughter would never be available at that point. We ended up getting a good contact who put us in touch with her social worker, though, and even though she wasn't in our city, our city allowed us to take their classes. Everything fell into place super quick for us and from the day that we first saw her picture and biography to the day she came home there were less than three months that passed. I will say, though, that our situation was very unique, because DD had multiple medical needs and was in a very bad place, but we were in a unique position to meet her needs.
