I got my staples out exactly 6 days after my section. 3 days after I was home. I drove myself took LO with me, packed up her stroller and all. The staples started coming out on their own and if I didn't get in right then I would have to wait till after holidays. I just didn't even think about it and got LO all packed up and left.
When I got there my OB said remember no driving and I am assuming you have someone with you to lift your daughter in her carseat. I just kind of blankly looked at him and then I vaguely remembered them telling me that in the hospital. I said oh umm I came bymyself and packed LO up and I feel fine. I was not taking any pain meds at that point either so it was not like I couldn't drive.
He just told me to take it easy. I say you do what you feel like you can do. Don't over do it.

My OB was fine with me driving as soon as I felt able to, as long as I was off the Percocet he sent me home with (which I didn't end up taking after the first day home, anyway). I drove to DS's 2 week appointment.

I was told 2 weeks. I didn't drive til 3 weeks but that's just because DH was home & the only places we went were to appointments & to visit family. So he drove til then.
2 weeks but i waited a bit longer. my OB said the most important thing was that i felt comfortable slamming on the brakes if needed. so my first time driving i drove around the block and slammed on the brakes to make sure i was ready.
Re: driving
Two weeks.
I preferred to wait longer.
