I'm ready to get this show on the road! I'm dilated to 1cm as of last Thursday.

I've been having braxton hicks a bit more frequently the past couple of days and lower back pain started this afternoon while walking around the store. 

As long as I'm sitting down my back isn't hurting but as soon as I start walking around it hurts pretty bad. 

Someone tell me this is a good sign please!!!

WOW, we are in almost exactly the same boat! I'm 40w2d and my last OB visit was last Thurs and I was also still 1cm and not very soft yet.

Last night I had powerful contractions 3mins apart but it only lasted 20mins and then I fell back asleep and haven't had much happening since. Today I've had more BH than usual and yesterday had lower back pain while on a walk with my friend.

It's got to mean at least SOMETHING is happening as far as preparing our bodies for going into labor in the near future. Hopefully we'll be meeting our LOs sooner than later!

Yep, still here.  Had a NST and U/S yesterday.  Found out he's estimated at least 9# and has a massive head.  I'm still 1cm...have been for 3 weeks. 

After a scare with really high BP yesterday I think I've FINALLY hit that "I'm done" point that so many ladies have been complaining about since week 36 or so.

Wow Meagan, thats totally me. I had a bunch of BH last night too. I woke up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep until about 6am. They died down a some point around 6 I think.

 

Either way, I'm about to go to the mall and walk. I'm over this!

I hear you, just lots of cramping, 100% effaced for a week and now 2cm dilated. Plus, dr took me out of work today so she can come anytime now.
