I believe that 5 months is a bit early to begin CIO. What is your sleeping arrangement like? Is there any way you can put them into separate rooms? If not, you try putting a white noise machine right up near where your 22 month old sleeps so they'd become accustomed to the background noise. I don't know how it would work exactly if you are bottle-feeding but perhaps try cluster feeding in the evening in the few hours prior to bed time so that if LO is actually waking up to eat out of hunger instead of just needing comfort they'll have a fuller tummy before bed.

Re: 5-Month Old wakes every two hours, disturbs 22 month old
