I didn't know there was a phrase for it until I read about it on kellymom. DS has been everywhere during nursing trying out new positions. His favorite his to get on his hands and knees and rock or bounce while nursing. He also tries to stand. Yeah buddy, not gonna work...they're attached! My nipples haven't been this sore since the early days! Sometimes I tell him No and try to keep him still, but I must admit I think it's funny! Anyone else's LO can't sit still during nursing? He's also started pinching, grabbing nose, hair, etc really bad. I don't normally NIP, but if I did I can see how all of this would cause a problem!

Re: Acrobatic Nursing
Not exactly the same, but DS is doing this for bottle feeding too. He tries to stand or sit straight up...and then he doesn't understand why the milk isn't flowing into the nipple anymore....
And then there's acrobatic diaper changing too. This has gotten REALLY bad in the last week.
Saw this on FB today and it made me laugh!
Eli's not quite that bad but lately he just can't concentrate enough to eat for very long. He's always pulling off and craning his neck all over the room to see what he's missing.
Yes my LO is very active while nursing. And like you said, it hurts! I didn't realize there was a term for it. With all of the moving and repositioning she nurses for only 5-6 minutes. Sometimes I pump and then give her the bottle so she gets her full feeding. I'm not sure how to keep her still.
BTW I love the crab outfit in your siggy. My daughter has the girl version with he crab on the butt. It's one of my favorite outfits!
OMG this is hilarious! While I'm not quite getting the feet in the face or him trying the standing positions yet. I am getting the flalling arm and usually my glasses are the first victim lol. No way do I dare NIP. I always just nurse in my car.

That is freaking hilarious! I NIP all the time now...but I have my nursing cover. DD loves playing with it though and I'm sure people have saw a quick nip slip...
When we go hiking on weekends I NIP so I do not have to lug bottles...I have surprised a couple people though when they rounded a corner on the trail and see a random woman nursing a baby...

Bwahahahaaa! That is way too funny!
I thought my DS was bad with his constantly roving hand (hello chin, cheek, armpit, chair, earrings!!!, necklace!!!, neck skin!) and flirting (he starts laughing if I look down at him), oh, and he kicks the arm of the chair. But I guess he's not really all that bad now that I've read this thread. LOL
My Blog
DS hates a nursing cover. He gets hot and I think he may get claustrophobic. I swear I end up showing more when I wear a cover because of his flalling around. LOL at the surprised people on the hiking trail. Is NIP as "taboo" in the UK as it is here?

I think people here are more comfortable with nudity especially when it comes to nursing. They have commercials on here all the time about the benefits of BFing...DH would be mortified though if I whipped my boob out and started feeding Emma, so I mainly use the cover for him
