Boy name opinion. :S

What do you think of the name Beckett? Its really growing on me, but I worry people would think I said Bucket...The LO would be called Beck most of the time I think...

Its not set in stone, just a name we both like, but are unsure about how it sounds to everyone since neither of us had heard it before.

I like Beckett, but DH vetoed it pretty quickly. I think of Samuel Beckett who wrote Waiting for Godot, which holds a special place in my heart. I think it's a great name.

I do not like Beckett (or the similar Bennet and Emmett).
Every time I hear Beckett, I hear Keira Knightley saying "Did Lord Beckett tell you that?" and it's all PIrates of the Caribbean-y for me. I'd never really heard the name before that movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean hadn't even crossed my mind! LOL, I prob won't be able to not think of it now.

I really dislike it. It sounds a bit hard to say to me, like it is too choppy or something.

I also mentioned in to DH (without mentioning whether I liked it or not) and his instant reaction was "Bucket". Not that he thought that's what I said, but just saying it is likely the kid will get teased by things like "Bucket head" or whatever for years.

I really liked it and added it to my long list, until I saw it used on a girl. That made nervous it would become unisex and I prefer strong male names.
