Another question about crib sheets

Sorry everyone but I have another question about crib sheets. I was wondering if there are any brands that you either love or hate? I want sheets that are soft and will last. There seem to be mixed reviews about most products and two of the companies mentioned in Baby Bargains (Lands End and Gap) do not even make crib sheets anymore. I do not mind paying more for a better product but I want to make sure that it is worth it.

  • American Baby Company organic cotton, available on Amazon for a very reasonable price. They're so soft. I haven't had any fitting issue, and I have a substantial crib mattress for her.

I have spent more time trying to decide on crib sheets than anything else.  I don't know why I can't seem to make a decision.  I figured I would obsess over the stroller or the car seat. The sheet thing is surprising and maybe a bit weird. Oh well. Hopefully a few STMs have some tips.

  • We have all different kinds and my daughter doesn't seem to notice the difference.  But overall the ones I like the most are the Aden and Anais ones.  We received them as a gift and man are they soft.  And they fit great.

  • My favorite is Jersey knit. I think I got mine at BBRus. The jersey knit is way softer and babies don't make a lot of noise when they wiggle on them. Also they never look wrinkly. I've heard that babies are really fond of minky sheets in the winter. It's like sleeping with a stuffed animal without the hazard. They are super soft.

  • I am a HUGE fan of the Target (circo brand) knit crib sheets. (the super soft ones) We've been using the same ones for 3 years now and I can't say enough how much I love them. They don't shrink, color stays and they fit the crib mattress fabulously!

  • I have one Circo one from Target and it seemed smaller than the Carter's one I previously purchased.  I don't think I'll be buying any more Circo.  If you don't care about colors white is nice if you want to bleach them every once in a while.  I would just run them through the rinse cycle a few times though before using them.

  • My favorite are the Koala baby brand from BRU. They have flannel, regular, and jersey and I love them all. They fit the crib very well, never slide off and have held up great over the last 2 1/2 years.

One suggestion I will make is that if you or your DH like to keep your house on the cool side, I would recommend buying more of the flannel sheets because the regular style tends to get cold. I still use flannel in the summer because my DH likes to freeze the house at night and the flannel sheets stay nice and warm.

  • We used the Carters ones that were velour, I think.  They fit well, are really soft, and are still in good shape after 3 years of use.  I am planning to use the same ones again.

Yes!!  We have orange, yellow, and blue and I love them.  They are so thick and bright and pretty.  If I find out tomorrow we're having a girl, I might order that plum purple color.  But yeah, I definitely don't *need* any new ones either ;)

  • I have a ton of randoms that I do like, but I don't like Gerber.  They're so dam tight that I can't get them on the mattress without H's help  I finally am giving up on them and throwing them away.  I can't even give them away because I' would feel bad for the recipient :/

  • The Chamiose sheets from Pottery Barn Kids are the best. Super soft, thick, deep corners and wash very well. They are a bit spender then regular sheets but so warm for these winter babies that are going to be born. I recommend them over any others that I have, including Circo, Carters,Koala, and the JJ Cole that came with our bedding.
