36 weeks and finally treated like I'm old

Had my 36 week appointmet thsis afternoon. New Baby's measuring big so I have to go in for a growth scan the 24th and.... the OB told me that she'd like to induce me before 40 weeks, "because of my age."

A week ago I would have been reluctant, but now I'm not complaining.

    Good luck!  My son measured big.  I was induced 1 week early and my son was still 9lbs 9 ounces.

    My belly is not measuring big, but I have no idea how big baby is. I get to go in on my due date which I am 100% sure that I will still be pregnant for to get a biophysical profile and growth scan. I am not getting it because I am old though, but due to my 2 vessel cord. We are still not having the induction convo yet. In the meantime I feel more and more every day that my lo thinks that the escape hatch is somewhere near my belly button. Owie!

    IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
    3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

    DS born 07/29/12

    FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

    FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    I was told full term is at 37 weeks, so you should be good.

    I started with a RE so they of course treated me like I was old. My OB seems very calm about everything (my age, my BMI) and so far everything has been good. I've been good about not gaining too much weight (she told me 15 lbs max for the whole pregnancy). We'll see if they start ramping up things at the end with me depending on LO's size.

    Woohoo for AMA! I don't think my doc has the same philosophy ... she said oh just because he's breech doesn't mean an automatic C, especially if he's under 11 or 12 lbs ... um what??

    I'm only 11 weeks but I was told right off the bat that I would be delivering at39 weeks "because of my age". I am still not sure how I feel about that as I had my son without any meds and was planning this birth to be the same. Since my other two kiddos were over a week late each, I may be happy to induce when it gets to be that time!

    I'm 40 yrs old and will be 32 weeks when I see my Dr. on Monday.  She has yet to mention induction.  I really hope not to be induced.  My LO is measuring long and they estimated him to be a 9 pounder (Geez I hope not!)

    So far my health has been a non-issue (all tests passed etc.) although she did comment on my weight gain. Embarrassed
