You were right!  It's a huge hit.  I feel like I will never master picking out toddler toys.  I obviously have no clue   So far, DS likes anything he can push or drag around.

the fisher price dog on a string....there's a reason why that's such a classic toy.   Both my boys also love the Fisher price phone on a pull string.

Yea My kids loved it too.

The simplest toys are usually the biggest hit.

DD got the phone for her first birthday. She STILL loves that thing and takes it all over the house!

Lol! My DS has both the dog & phone on a string. He loves them both! He got them at 12 months and still plays with them everyday.
