Newbie here and just starting to ttc #2

but just for fun, I thought I would post some names we've been thinking about. I've had the girl's name picked out since I had my daughter 5 years ago and my FI has had the boy's name picked out for years. I can take honesty. I know not everyone has the same taste on names. So here goes.

Hayden Sophia for a girl

Cole Preston for a boy

All names are family names!

Preston is my FI middle name that has been passed down for 5 generations so that's ok with me even though it's not my first choice. I like unisex names, actually I love them, haha. My daughter's name is Ryann (pronounced Ryann) and I love Sophia but also agree that it is super popular that's why I want it as a middle name! Thanks for your opinions

Same here. I'm actually accepting of Hayden as a unisex name, but the popularity of -den names would bug me. It's better in the MN spot.

This. I have never heard of Hayden as a boy's name IRL, just that actor. I do, however, know 3 little girl Haydens. Not really a fan of -den names. But, Sophia is pretty.

Love the boy name (would prefer Preston Cole, but only because I LOVE the name Preston) - the girl name is NMS but it's perfectly fine.

I actually prefer Preston Cole as well but he is adament about keeping the middle name tradition and I can understand that. I like Cole Preston so I'm ok with it. The -den names are kind of annoying, I agree. Hayden is the only name that I really like that he will agree on. Cole Preston is set in stone. Hayden not as much and we have plenty of time to decide. Sophia is set in stone as a middle name as well. Any suggestions for unisex names for a girl to go with Sophia? I actually like Devan Sophia! Just for fun, just to see what people come up with

I love Sophia. Don't like Hayden at all. Sophia is classic and timeless and Hayden is... the opposite of all of that. Trendy and much less classy.

Would you consider changing the name to either Devin/Devon. Devan looks weird to me.

Love the boy name. I don't like most unisex names, but I do think Jordan, Quinn, Avery, or Reese are cute.

I love Cole but really dislike Preston sorry   just comes off too country-club or pretentious to me

I love Quinn but not sure how Quinn Sophia sounds. I love Cassidy too!

Cole Preston is very nice. 

I like Sophia in the MN spot, it is a very pretty name, but so popular so I like the idea of still being able to use it.

Hayden is NMS at all for a boy.  Really don't like it for a girl.

Cole always makes me think of Cole Porter so I'd pick another musician name like Etta, Ella, Sarah, Dorothy, Dinah, Rosemary, Lena, Helen, Josephine

I like Cole Preston alot.

As far as Hayden goes I know there is Hayden Panettiere but to me it is a boys name.
