MS Blue Cross Blue Shield

Anyone have MS Blue cross blue shield?

I have heard that it can cover the rental of breast pump! is this true?

    I do, but I don't know about breast pump rental.  Maybe the place you will rent from can tell you.

    I believe all breastfeeding related items are now fully reimbursed so i can't imagine you'd have trouble renting one for free. Perhaps you should get a new one! Obama passed something early this summer that stated all BFing materials would be essentially free.

    I have BCBS federal and called in August requesting this and was told that they would not cover it. However, my benefits package just came in and it said that they will cover one breast pump per year (not sure what that means) in 2013. I don't know if it has taken affect yet or if it will in 01/13....

    I called, and it's the rental of a manual pump, but you may be able to get them to cover an electric with a letter of predetermination from your doctor.

    The new obamacare l;aws state that insurance companies are supposed to cover breast pumps.  Since this is a new law...I did not get to benefit from this, but they will actually purchase it for you.  Look into it.  :)
